Quiet Time

Every night, at the exact same time,

When the day's well spent, and the moonlight shines.

I settle in nice, and close my eyes.

And quieten my thoughts, till the noise all dies.

When I open them again, He's right there.

Just about an arms length from my chair.

I turn to face Him — where He sits.

With a warm and gentle smile He greets,

"Hello — how's your day?"

And then we talk the night away.

Every night, at the exact same time,

When the day's well spent, and the moonlight shines.
