Have you ever felt a love so great?
No, I'm not talking about what some call fate.
It's the kind that reaches into your deepest parts,
The kind that just gently warms your heart.
It was but on that faithful day,
When You walked in, said "I'm here to stay".
I've heard of You, the stories they tell,
Of how You love and do it well —
They likened You to He who bought
His unfaithful wife back from the auctioneer's dock.
And despite being passed from man to man,
You loved her till the very end.
You cleaned and clothed her, and pieced her back together.
You wiped her tears, and looked past all those missing years.
You covered her shame and took away her pain,
And opened her heart to fill with love once again.
There's not one that I've found,
Who can love in this amount.
And so I rejoice,
At knowing You and making that choice.
You may ask, "Is he real?"
I'll tell you, "come and feel"
Some call Him friend, some call Him comforter,
Others call Him hope;
Well I know Him as,
The Greatest Love Story Every Told.
